Whilst a referral is not required in most cases, some of the programs available do require a General Practitioner (GP) referral to access any Medicare rebate. These programs include:

Psychological Services (PSS)

Suicide Prevention Program

Child Mental Health 

Enhanced Primary Care Plans (GP Required to complete and EPC)

Victims of Crime

NDIS ( Self managed or Plan managed)

Equine Therapy ( One on one sessions or groups)

EAP (available soon)
